Tracking

COMS Ltd has been up continuously researching and working towards getting new technology in Fiji. With this comes our very own revolutionary Car/Truck/Vehicle/Vessel/Fleet Tracking System. With the use of GPS and GPRS technology, we have utilised and extended a stable open-source platform to track and manage your fleet from anywhere in the world.

We have installed our tracking devices in a number of boats and cars. Our clients are very happy with this new fleet management system and it is giving them a great deal for their money. The monthly cost to track a vehicle/vessel is often as low as $6.

Some features of the Fleet Management System:

  1. Real-time tracking via GPRS to your own server.
  2. GPS based Orientation; GPS receiver will get a complete routine of the fleet.
  3. Automatically report vehicle position/status and ignition status.
  4. Data content: vehicle status, time, longitude & latitude with physical address, speed, direction and ignition status
  5. History Playback. You can replay track history of the car whatever and whenever you want to know, including moving route, speed, mileage, direction and fuel consumption.
  6. Automatically keep GPRS alive.
  7. SD Card slot on the tracking unit to store GPS data for several days in case GPRS network is not available and then transmits all data back to the server as soon as it’s online again.
  8. Detailed Trip Report.
  9. Geo-Fence – specific geographical regions can be assigned to vehicles and if vehicles go out of the Geo-Fence, alerts can be generated.
  10. Monitor the fuel: The fuel that the vehicle consumes is automatically recorded; with the software, it will draw a complete report of fuel consumption. In this case, it will priovde a significant deterrent to fuel theft. The system can also report the fuel consumption, so that operational costs can be analysed.
  11. Immobilise vehicles – vehicle engine can be turned off or fuel supply stopped if a vehicle is stolen or if ever need be.
  12. Real-time images from inside the vehicles are also available and can be provided. This will require a camera to be installed in the vehicle.
  13. Temperature Monitoring – remotely get the temperature of vehicles equipped with freezers carrying frozen contents.
